Got one.

Seems that I had a dream last night that I was eating a bunch of roses, the small ones, not big ones…..stems and all.  Someone near me mentioned that I ‘might not’ want to do that since there could be bugs in there.  I said, “Well they can’t be very big. I’m on the last one and haven’t found any yet.” And lo and behold, I see one…..kinda flat shaped, then I see another one that looks like a miniature slimy stingray, and a third that looks like a tiny frog with antennae curled into his nostrils. I can’t get this out of my head. Hence that little nagging feeling.

Well, I found it.  I had surgery in mid-December. I spent most of it in the company of a mild painkiller, typing on the internet and just all around have a grand ole time. You know my birthday is in there with Christmas too. Know what happens on your birthday? Your license plates expire.

I have been driving around for the past month (when not on painkillers) with expired plates. YEP, a ticket waiting to happen. The worst part about it……Bob drives my car whenever we’re in it together. AND he used it during the really cold weather (-7 stuff) to drive up to Toledo since I didn’t want him frozen solid. Much nicer for cuddling when he’s warm. 

Oh my, the trouble I would have been in had he gotten a ticket……….roflmao

Quit nagging me, Feelings. I’m getting dressed and heading straight there.

I have a little update I thought I should share.

We’ll first start with the happy ending. I got my new sticker. I’m legal.

Yes,  it’s covered with a little salt, this is afterall north of the Mason-Dixon line.  I’ve been driving around with an expired sticker. Now since you can’t see it very well…….you should look at the next sticker.

Now if you’re paying attention to what the stickers say, instead of the fact that they need cropping and the white balance is way off, you’ll notice that I was driving around with a tag on my car that expired 13 months ago……

No wonder I saw bugs in my dream. That Nagging Feeling had been waiting a really, really long time.

Whatever.

I was frustrated.

Now, I would like to point out that it is entirely possible that my frustration was all of my own making. Totally imagined. But I doubt it.

You may say……Penny, it’s your hormone level. No. I disagree.

See I bought this coat at Kohl’s the other day. On Sale too.  I ‘thought’ it was $75, but once I got home I realized that I was looking at the other coat, not the one I bought! It was a $220 coat, but half off. One hundred and ten dollars. Wow. I probably wouldn’t have bought it had I noticed. I’m cheap that way.

But I’m very glad I did. It actually fits. See, I have arms like an orangutan. At least that’s what clothing manufacturers seem to think. I prefer to think that everyone else has unnaturally short arms.

Anyway…..I kept the coat. I love it.

Except for one tiny little annoyance. You know how they put those tags on the end of the left sleeve that has printed on it what the fiber is? You know, 100% Wool, or in my case, Cashmere (with a tiny little blend beneath it). I hadn’t taken it off for a few days. It’s really embarrassing walking around with it on. I was getting a bit tired of trying to hide my left arm. Even while driving…….Seriously, does anyone besides me notice this stuff?

Well I do not happen to have a seam ripper any longer. Don’t ask why. I used to have one, it’s gone.

So I have to use scissors to cut the Cashmere..blend, tag off. But that left four corners of it still stitched down. And let me tell ya….it was stitiched down really well. I took a look, it was Made in Vietnam. And someone that probably makes less than five bucks a day must have spent the entire day sewing this tag down.

I did manage to find a tool called a knitpicker. At least that’s what I call it. It’s a teeny tiny little hook for pulling a snag through fabric and onto the back side. I was using it to pull and break the threads that was so carefully sown on in Vietnam. I’m certain that the person who stitched it on thought it was meant to stay there……for the life of the coat.
